Campers grades 3-8 take part in a one week program designed to connect kids to God while enjoying all that Camp Wilmot has to offer. A typical day at Junior Camp begins with a 7 am “polar bear plunge” into chilly Whites Pond.  After a hearty breakfast, campers prepare for morning worship, a time for songs, Bible lessons, fun and fellowship. Following worship, our campers engage in a variety of traditional camp activities, including archery, arts & crafts, boating, hiking, swimming and more. Scheduled “free time” provides an opportunity for campers to pass an hour in quiet reflection in our peace garden or rock labryinth, or more boisterous campers might enjoy a game of pick-up soccer or volleyball on one of our recreation fields. The whole camp comes together in the evenings for field games and Vespers, our nightly worship service. Talent shows, sing alongs, campfires, Olympic games and pillow fights are sprinkled liberally throughout the week’s schedule. Each cabin participates in a unique, counselor-directed devotional before it’s “Light’s Out” at 10:30 pm.

Parents can sleep easy knowing their campers are well-supervised and cared for by our excellent counseling staff. Camp Wilmot employs a fully certified lifeguard and EMT to ensure the safety of all our campers.
