Camp Wilmot on the Road
Summer 2020
We can’t imagine a summer without Camp Wilmot, but because of the public safety concerns of COVID-19, we can’t move forward with our usual programming. And so we’re launching Camp on the Road, a socially distanced version of Camp Wilmot, designed to take the fun, fellowship, and faith formation of Camp Wilmot right to your neighborhood, all while respecting local public health ordinances. Read on to learn about Camp on the Road and if you have unanswered questions, check out our FAQ page!
Camp Wilmot
on the Road
Camp Wilmot on the Road is our socially distanced version of Camp Wilmot - where we will be journeying to our campers’ homes and churches to enjoy songs, activities, and each other’s company, from a safe distance. The specifics of our programming will be determined by local public health ordinances as we approach July. We will be hosting “parking lot parties” at our campers’ churches and we will be working with Wilmot area churches to aid in food distribution - coupling those food drop offs with activity packet drop offs and front yard visits. Camp Wilmot on the Road will take place in July, specific dates forthcoming.
We will be continuing our Camp Quarantine online presence - with weekly Bible study and weekly activity and prayer gatherings, all over zoom. Depending on interest, we will expand to offer more online programming later in the summer! If you would like to join those camp zooms, reach out to campwilmotdirector@gmail.com for the links.

Parking Lot Parties: Camp Wilmot is so excited to get to gather for a socially distant "parking lot party" at various churches over the course of the summer. All parties will be about an hour in length. We'll ask participants to drive into the parking lot, where we'll direct them to a chalked out zone where they can either drop off their child or park in that zone. We ask that families stay in their zones for the entirety of the program. Each zone will have all the materials needed for the party's activities, ready and waiting! Our program will include a Bible study lesson, craft, game, some individually packaged snacks, and singing and dancing! There is no cost to participate and the event is open to all church youth, including those who were not registered to attend Camp Wilmot this summer.

Camp at Home Drop-Off Bags: Camp Wilmot is dropping off free camp packets during the first three weeks of July to families in NH. These drop offs are kind of a remote camp - our staff will bring by activity boxes, drop them by families doors and ring the doorbell, and then wait far away to hopefully get to briefly greet the campers (if people not at home though, that's totally fine too)! The boxes themselves will contain a couple of crafts, activities, science experiments, etc, themed around a Bible verse, as well as a couple of recipes. All of the materials and ingredients needed for the activities and the recipes will be included in the boxes, so no extra trips to the store are necessary. While we can't provide archery or ropes course this summer, our hope with the camp boxes is to give a taste of camp through other camp activities like cooking class, arts and crafts, and STEM. The activities are designed to be completed independently by the camper, although some campers might benefit from parent supervision when cooking! Each week, you can check our social media accounts and the website to watch videos of our staff doing the activities and making the recipes too!!
Support Us - Donate or Buy a T-Shirt!
We’re raising funds to support these summer efforts and to ensure that Camp Wilmot has the funds to keep the lights until we can truly gather in 2021. Any donation, large or small, will make a difference! Donations can be made through venmo (@Camp-Wilmot), Paypal, or by checks sent to Camp Wilmot.
We are also selling t-shirts with our Camp Wilmot on the Road logo to raise funds for Camp during this unprecedented summer! Each shirt is $30, click the button below to fill out the t-shirt form and get yours! Consider donating an extra $30 as you are able to sponsor a t-shirt for a camper participating in our Camp Wilmot on the Road programming who usually attends camp on scholarship.
