Summer Camp 2021 Dates

While so much is still uncertain about where we stand with the virus this summer, Camp Wilmot is hopeful that we will be able to offer residential youth summer camp this year. We are committed to following the best practices recommended by the CDC and the American Camping Association, as well as abiding by the guidance of local governments and boards of health, and so these plans may shift closer to the summer as more information is available.

-

- Staff Training: Thursday, June 24th - Wednesday, July 2nd

- 60th Reunion Celebration: July 2nd - Monday, July 5th

Family Camp: Monday, July 5th - Thursday, July 8th

We are delighted to continue on from last year in offering a family camp this summer. This camp will run from Monday, July 5th to Thursday July 8th. Families get the full camp experience, staying in a cabin together and participating in camp activities such as archery, ropes course, swimming, boating, arts & crafts, and more. Days at Family Camp are fairly flexible to allow for a mix of family time and all-together time. If you’re over 18 and would like to relive your Camp Wilmot youth, why not bring along some of your camp friends and share a cabin together? For more information contact campwilmotdirector@gmail.com.

- Adventure Camp: Monday, July 5th - Saturday, July 10th - $750

Adventure Camp provides a unique Camp Wilmot experience, letting campers ages 13-16 learn more about sustainability and environmental stewardship surrounded by the natural beauty of Camp Wilmot. During Adventure Camp, we partner with local businesses, farms, and churches to volunteer our time and learn about their own sustainability practices. The smaller camp size gives campers have the opportunity to dive deeper into relationship and into their faith. Every year, campers work together to create a float for the local Fourth of July parade and build a lasting addition to our Camp. This year, our Adventure Campers will be working to learn about and build a pollinator garden!

- Youth Camp 1: Sunday, July 11th - Saturday, July 17th - $550

Youth Camp, our tried and true offering, provides campers ages 8-16 with a week of growth, bonding, and learning at Camp Wilmot. Campers spend the week enjoying various activity blocks including archery, boating, swimming, ropes course, arts & crafts, nature, dancing, music, baking, and more. Each evening campers participate in camp-wide activities where they get to collaborate and build strong relationships. Every day includes worship services and bible studies where campers learn about the Christian faith, their own relationships with God, and have a safe space to be vulnerable with one another. Campers leave our Youth Camps wishing for more and excited for the next year!

- Youth Camp 2: Sunday, July 25th - Saturday, July 31st - $550

See description above for Youth Camp 1!

***NOTE: Because of the uncertainty of reopening for youth programming after having to cancel residential camps in 2020, we acknowledge that our camp enrollment may be lower than usual. If we have low enrollment for Youth Camp 2, to the point that we think programming would be impacted and staffing costs disproportionate, we will cancel this week of camp and move registrations to Youth Camp 1 (7/11-7/17) or the week of long camp (7/12-7/24). If registering for Youth Camp 2, please try to keep one of the alternative weeks available in your family's schedule. We will do our best to update families well in advance! Thank you for your flexibility!

- Long Camp 1: Sunday, July 11th - Saturday, July 24th - $1,200

An adjustment to our traditional Long Camps, this Long Camp includes weekend activities that are distinct from the activities during the week. Campers ages 8-16 have the space to relax, recharge, and reconnect with each other over the weekends while also attending a local church on Sunday. This year, our Long Camp includes a week that is only open to long campers, and which will be different from our Youth Camps. This part of Long Camp, nestled in between Youth Camp 1 and Youth Camp 2, gives campers a chance to recharge and try out brand new camp traditions - like later wake up times and new evening activities! Because the camper numbers of Long Camp are smaller than our Youth Camps, campers get to build even stronger relationships and bonds with one another. Additionally, more time will be made for interaction with nature at a slower pace, allowing for reflection and a deeper dive into the curriculum than is possible during Youth Camps. When campers register for Long Camp, they can be visited by family over the weekend, but are expected to stay on site so as to take full advantage of the new experiences and opportunities! And don't worry - staff will be sure to wash your camper's laundry over the weekend!

- Long Camp 2: Sunday July 19th - Saturday, August 1st - $1,200

See description above for Long Camp 1!

***NOTE: Because of the uncertainty of reopening for youth programming after having to cancel residential camps in 2020, we acknowledge that our camp enrollment may be lower than usual. If we have low enrollment for Youth Camp 2 (the week of 7/25-7/31), to the point that we think programming would be impacted and staffing costs disproportionate, we will cancel this week of camp and move Long Camp 2 registrations to Long Camp 1 (7/11-7/24). If registering for Long Camp 2, please try to keep one of that alternative week available in your family's schedule. We will do our best to update families well in advance! Thank you for your flexibility!

- Extended Long Camp: Sunday, July 11th - Saturday, July 31st - $1,750

Since adding on a third week of programming, this Extended Long Camp is brand new this year! An adjustment to our traditional Long Camps, this Extended Long Camp includes weekend activities that distinct from the activities during the week. Campers ages 8-16 have the space to relax, recharge, and reconnect with each other over the weekend while also attending a local church on Sunday. After the smaller second week, Extended Long Campers will then be participants and dive back into our Youth Camp 2 for their final week at camp. And don't worry - staff will be sure to wash your camper's laundry over the weekends!

***NOTE: Because of the uncertainty of reopening for youth programming after having to cancel residential camps in 2020, we acknowledge that our camp enrollment may be lower than usual. If we have low enrollment for Youth Camp 2 (the week of 7/25-7/31), to the point that we think programming would be impacted and staffing costs disproportionate, we will cancel this week of camp and refund extended long campers the cost of that week. We will do our best to update families well in advance! Thank you for your flexibility!
