Things to Leave at Home:

  • Expensive items, sentimental items, jewelry

  • Electronic items, radios, ipods, laser pointers, cell phones, ipads, computers - Camp Wilmot is a technology free zone!

  • Extra spending money, wallets, purse (you'll make a deposit in the camp store when you arrive)

  • Anything which would result in tremendous unhappiness if it were lost, broken, or got dirty

  • Drugs, alcohol, tobacco products, vapes, weapons, & fireworks are strictly prohibited at Camp Wilmot. Anyone found with such substances will be sent home without a refund, and can be held liable under camp & state laws.

Tip: Pack your child's stuff in something that you will be able to carry a short distance from the parking area to the check-in area. We will transport your luggage from there to the cabin area. A duffle bag, old suitcase, or footlocker is fine. Rubbermaid style bins are okay, as long as they are heavy duty and the lids are securely attached. Pillows, bedding, or sleeping bags do just fine in large plastic trash bags.

Tip: Label everything with your child's name using a permanent marker.

Tip: Appropriate attire at camp is clothing that is comfortable, suitable for outdoor play, and has the potential to get wet or dirty. A special shopping trip is usually not needed.

Tip: If your child loses something, it may turn up in the lost and found. Please inquire. Note that all unclaimed lost and found items collected during the summer are disposed of or donated to charity a few weeks after the end of the last summer camp session.
